About Las Vegas, NV - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!

The city of Las Vegas, Nevada is the largest city in the state by population and one of the most popular tourist destinations in the country. An internationally renowned resort city known for its gambling, entertainment, nightlife, and shopping, the city is home to over 648,000 residents. The economy is primarily driven by tourism, conventions, and gaming, but higher education is also important to the community, as the College of Southern Nevada and University of Nevada School of Medicine are both found here. Locals can easily get around between school and work via RTC Transit – the public transportation system that offers bus service throughout Las Vegas, North Las Vegas, and Henderson.

There are plenty of things to see and do in Las Vegas. Most casinos found in the downtown area are along Fremont Street, except for the Stratosphere. The Golden Gate Hotel and Casino is the oldest continuously operating casino and hotel in Las Vegas, and visitors may also like to check out the Golden Nugget, Downtown Grand, and El Cortez, all of which have recently gone through renovations.

There are other things to do in Las Vegas other than gambling. Visitors who need a break from the casinos may like to check out one of the city’s several museums, which include the Neon Museum, the Las Vegas Natural History Museum, the Mob Museum, and the DISCOVERY Children’s Museum. The Downtown Arts District also hosts numerous art galleries and events, which includes the Las Vegas Film Festival.

The climate of Las Vegas is typical of the Mojave Desert and includes long, hot summers and short, mild winters. Over one-third of the year sees temperatures at or above 90 degrees Fahrenheit, with daytime highs in the peak of the summer exceeding 100 degrees. A reliable central air conditioner will keep indoor temperatures comfortable while improving indoor air quality, while a heat pump can provide both heating and cooling capabilities. This system will come in handy when temperatures fall to the 50s and lower during the winter season. Other residents may invest in separate heating and cooling systems to include a gas furnace for the cooler winter season.
