About Henderson, NV - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!

The city of Henderson, Nevada is located 16 miles southeast of Las Vegas. With over 302,000 residents, it is the second largest city in Nevada by population. While many residents commute to Las Vegas for work, there are plenty of job opportunities here, with major employers including St. Rose Dominican Hospital – Siena Campus, Green Valley Ranch Resort & Spa, and the Sunset Station Hotel & Casino. Education is also important to residents, and in addition to Clark County School District, higher education is provided by Nevada State College and the Roseman University of Health Sciences. Henderson is also featured frequently on the TV drama CSI: Crime Scene Investigation.

There are plenty of interesting places to visit in Henderson. The Ethel M Botanical Cactus Garden and Henderson Bird Viewing Preserve are popular destinations for nature lovers, while families with children might like to stop at the Ethel M Chocolate Factory or the Lion Habitat Ranch. There are several golf courses found in Henderson, including Wildhorse Golf Club, Desert Willow Golf Course, and the Legacy Golf Club. Other popular attractions in the community include the Las Vegas Distillery and Cowabunga Bay Water Park.

Located in the Mojave Desert, Henderson is found in a subtropical hot desert climate zone. Summers here can be dangerously hot, as average daily highs at the peak of the season are about 102 degrees Fahrenheit. Over 130 days per year see thermostat readings in excess of 90 degrees, so the right central air conditioning system is a necessity to stay safe and healthy throughout the year.

While Henderson residents get a break from the heat in the winter, the season is quite short in duration. Chilly temperatures with highs in the 50s are common, but low temperatures in the 30s and 40s are also typical overnight. Both heat pumps and furnace systems are popular in Henderson, and an HVAC specialist can help residents to select the energy-efficient heating system needed to meet their lifestyle and comfort preferences.
