About Boulder City, NV - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!

Boulder City, Nevada is a Clark County community that is in close proximity to the Hoover Dam. Just over 15,000 people lived here as of 2010, and the community is situated 26 miles southeast of Las Vegas. Despite this proximity to the gambling capital of the U.S., Boulder is one of two cities in the state that prohibits gambling. Boulder City received a distinction as one of the top places to retire in the U.S. by Money Magazine, which based its decision on the community’s affordable housing, tax rates, the arts, and medical care access.

There are plenty of interesting places to see and visit in Boulder City. The Hoover Dam is visited by countless tourists each year, many of whom also check out the Hoover Dam Museum. Outdoor enthusiasts may like to stop at the Alan Bible Botanical Garden, while mountain bikers might like to ride through the Bootleg Canyon Mountain Bike Park. Boulder City is home to two golf courses – Boulder Creek and Boulder City Golf Course – one private course, a racquetball complex, tennis courts, and a BMX bicycle track.

Weather conditions in Boulder City are typical of a subtropical hot desert climate zone, and during the winter, many people travel to the region. Temperatures are mild and snowfall is rare, but with highs only in the 50s, it is still necessary for residents to heat their homes. A properly sized gas furnace or electric heat pump will meet the unique comfort needs of a home, ensuring residents stay warm throughout the season.

Weather conditions are quite different in Boulder City during the summer, and with high temperatures often into triple digits, they can even be dangerous. Dehydration, heat exhaustion, and heat stroke are all real possibilities when spending too much time outdoors during these conditions, so it is necessary to have someone safe to cool off. Available cooling systems include air conditioners, heat pumps, packaged units, and air handlers, and an experienced HVAC specialist can help residents to upgrade existing systems or choose a new unit that will work best in their home.
